Sharks Super Aggresive

The Super Aggressive new breed of Cronulla Shark, ensured that the Baby Broncos were not just nursing their pride after their 26-12 defeat. Many of the Broncos were nursing sore heads amongst other things, as the Sharks came to dismantle the Broncos physically and mentally.

The scoreline wasn't a direct reflection of the possession and field position of the game, as a length of the field intercept try and a final minutes Sharks scoreline, punished the Broncos on the scoreline. And while the Broncs enjoyed territory and posession, their attack was disjointed with, at times, woeful decisions made by Corey Norman and Peter Wallace...those two key playmakers entrusted by coach Anthony Griffin to stabilise the team.

The Sharks were tough, and uncompromising a trait that they take from their captain, Paul Gallen absent from the game for Origin commitments. The win consolidates the Sharks in the number 3 position on the ladder, while the Broncos dreaded Origin slump  puts the pressure on the number 4 position currently held.

AFL Preview

Meanwhile back at the AFL: It was interesting to read that Denis Pagan has become a real estate agent selling houses and land after leaving the AFL behind. That puts a new slant on the expression “Pagan’s Paddock” that was in use when he coached North Melbourne.

It’s no wonder Chris Judd has neck and shoulder injuries as he always has to turn his head to look over his shoulder to see who’s tagging him each week!

“Is there no way we can rubbish umpires?” asks the Carlton Football Club? Yes! Retire and become a spectator!

Buckley left Brisbane – what a brouhaha. Had he stayed he would still have won a Brownlow but also 3 premierships! Boak wants to leave Port? So what!

There are some good games this week hopefully resulting in no major thrashings. We tipped the 6 last week but then again so did 90% of the tipping population I reckon. Good luck this week.
