NRL Round 26

Round 26 of the NRL saw the dreams and hopes of Souths and the Bulldogs fall away at the last hurdle, but also saw the Minor Premiers stutter on the way into the finals. We also saw stalwarts of the game, Andrew Ryan and Allan Tongue play out their careers, while Darren Lockyer was afforded a hero adulation in Brisbane.

Friday Night saw the Dragons return to form on the eve of the finals with an at times, emphatic victory over the Panthers 32-12, while the Knights put paid to the Rabbitohs for 2011 40-24. The coaching career of one of the games good guys Johny Lang, drew to a close with that loss.

Saturday saw the Warriors win over the Cowboys 18-6 and enter the finals with confidence, while the Cowboys need to regroup. The Titans and Eels played for the wooden spoon with the Eels winning convincingly 32-12, while the Sharks really put it to the Tigers, but the Tigers ultimately won 30-22.

Sunday saw the record crowd at Suncorp Stadium farewell Darren Lockyer with style and class and a Broncos win 18-10. The round was rounded out with a Bulldogs victory over the Raiders 36-22, while the Storm were thrashed by the Roosters 40-8.

So what does all this mean for the Finals???
