Permian kicks off the district schedule this Friday when they host Midland High. Leading the Bulldog attack is speedy running back Tyler Middleton (5’ 11”, 180#, 4.4). A three year varsity player, Middleton has rushed for 668 yards and 13 touchdowns in five games. Taking the snaps for Midland is QB Jake Holifield. Stepping in for injured starter Kierre Woods Holifield has done a fine job, throwing for 296 yards and four touchdowns in three games. Holifield is also effective carrying the ball, with 151 yards and a touchdown. Defensively the Bulldogs have size up front, with Tyler Tatum (6’ 0”, 262#)  and Dutton Watson (6’3” 240#) leading the way.

The Panthers are looking to continue improvement after a 4-1 non-district campaign. Runningback DeAnthony Fay has had a solid season so far, leading the Panthers with 498 yards and eight touchdowns. Greg George has added 265 yards and four touchdowns. Landry Serrano has been efficient at quarterback, completing 56% of his passes for 723 yards and five touchdowns while only throwing one interception. Van Powell leads the receiving corps with 225 yards and three scores. Craig Wesson leads the defense in tackles with 50. Shaquille Johnson leads MOJO with three quarterback sacks
