Dragons RED V Forever

What an emotional day. The Dragons destroyed the Fairytale Roosters, as so often happens to faiarytales, and the emotion was evident, both in the players and the fans and members. Snowy and Curly fell into each others arms in a man-hug for the ages. The relief was evident. Finally, after 31years the Dragons are the Premiers.Wayne Bennett maintained his amazing record as a NRL Head Coach with 7-0 in his favour, while Brian Smith at 0-4 kept the monkey.

Jason Nightingale was huge, Dean Young was fantastic, Jeremy Smith was everywhere while captain Ben Hornby played the best Captains Knock in a long time. Not sure how Darius Boyd came up with the Clive Churchill over these guys. But he played well as usual.Thoughts on the game was that each of the first tries should not have been awarded, but the Roosters showed greater signs of panic than the Dragons in the first half. The game was won with the battle hardened Forwards, who benefited from the tight game the Tigers gave them, compared to the Chooks, who didn't take anything out of the Tigers defensive playbook.

I have been feeling all week, the Dragons had points in them. They showed it.
