The Permian Panthers travel north to Lubbock to take on the Monterey Plainsmen this Friday. Monterey comes into the game looking for their first win of the season. Leading the Plainsmen offense will be quarterback Brady Gunn. The senior signal caller was 14-19 for 102 yards with one touchdown and one interception in their game with Midland last week. The go to receiver is Arrius Holleman, a 6' 3" 175# playmaker and three year starter. Leading the ground attack is 5' 9" 165# Thomas Walker, with 526 rushing yards and five scores. Defensively, the Plainsmen will usually set up in a 3-4 alignment. Senior Austin Warren is a 6' 2" 230# force at defensive end. Safety Lamadric Frazier is solid in coverage.

MOJO will be looking for four solid quarters after a 24-13 win over Amarillo Tascosa. Landry Serrano has passed for 527 yards and four scores. DeAnthony Fay leads the Panthers on the ground with 471 yards and 6 touchdowns. Linebacker Craig Wesson leads the Panthers defense with 38 tackles.
