Permian 53 Cedar Hill 42

The Permian Panthers defeated the 12th ranked Cedar Hill team 53-42. Here is the report from

September 11th- The Permian Panthers used a combination of big plays and grind it out offense to score a 53-42 upset victory over the Cedar Hill Longhorns. MOJO jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead on a 22 yard TD pass from Landry Serrano to Van Powell, and a 55 yard TD run by DeAnthony Fay. From there the game turned into a shootout. Permian answered Cedar Hill's first touchdown with scores from Tommey Morris and Serrano. Cedar Hill would score twice more, and MOJO went to into the half with a 27-21 lead.

The second half would be more of the same. The Serrano-to-Powell combo came through again from 22 yards out. After a Jorrian Wilson interception snuffed out Cedar Hill's ensuing drive Fay would hit pay dirt again, busting through the Longhorn defense and rambling 91 yards for the score. Fay and Greg George added long TD runs in the fourth quarter. The defense stepped up to stop Cedar Hill's final drive, and the victory was secured
