Permian 24 Amarillo Tascosa 13

September 17th- The Panthers had a happy Homecoming on Friday, scoring a 24-13 win over Amarillo Tascosa. QB Landry Serrano got things going for MOJO, capping a 77 yard drive with a four yard touchdown run. DeAnthony Fay got into the act on the next Panthers possession, scoring from 39 yards out on the first play of the drive. Serrano hit Austin Reynolds for a seven yard touchdown, and MOJO went into the locker room with a 21-0 halftime lead.
NEXT UP- MOJO travels to Lubbock to take on the Monterey Plainsmen. Kikcoff is set for 7:30pm Friday, September 24th at Lowrey Field.

The second half was a scoreless defensive battle until the fourth quarter, when Eric Diaz extended the Permian lead to 24-0 with a 33 yard field goal. Tascosa made it interesting late, scoring twice and recovering an onside kick. The MOJO defense put an end to the threat when CB Derrick Lee picked off a Tascosa pass. From there the Panthers ran out the clock to secure the win
