Chokers NOT

The Dragons squeezed the life out of an undermanned Sea Eagles outfit, then played up as they ended the Eagles season with a comprehensive 28 nil victory. The Dragons scored first with an unbelievable try to Ben Hornby after a Jamie Soward and then scored their next eight points through penalty kicks. With twenty minutes left and the game well in hand at 14-0, the Dragons opened up some of their attacking arsenal, and Matt Cooper (2) and Mark Gasnier scored tries which gave the team the final score.

Manly were brave but overwhelmed, but some of their players were stars with Matt Ballin and Ben Farrar especially dangerous. Anthony Watmough spent the last ten minutes in the sin bin for dissent after being pulled up by the match officials for dropping the knees. He is a grub of the highest order.

For the Dragons, Neville Costigan was huge as was Beau Scott and Jeremy Smith. Nathan Fien again added impetus to the team and they certainly look well-placed to continue on.
