Bob Jones Spoils Spain Park Homecoming

The Bob Jones Patriots go (4-1) Friday night as they stepped out of region play and defeated the Spain Park Jaguars (2-3), on the Jaguar's Homecoming night. This win is the first time the Patriots have defeated Spain Park in football.
The Patriots started quickly out of the gate with a 100 yrd kick off return by Senior Collins Moore.  The first half was totally dominated by Bob Jones as the Offense scored 28 points and the Defense kept the always tough Region 6 Jaguars from scoring.
During the 2nd half of the game, Spain Park came back fighting, scoring 21 pts, and were headed to score more with 1:38 left in the game when Senior Alex Gilbert made a critical interception which sealed a victory for Bob Jones Patriots.
Next week, the Patriots return to "the Bob" as they play region 8 foe, Huntsville High School on Friday, October 1st at 7pm.  The Patriots game against Huntsville, will be Bob Jones homecoming, and all BJHS graduates and fans are encouragde to come cheer on the team and be part of that pageantry on this special night
