Friday Night Thriller at Kogarah

Sometimes the ole Friday Night Footy, doesn't throw up the best quality football games. This can be due to the wet a slipperies that affect the ball on those dewy night games. Friday nigh was another example of this, with the Dragons playing the Gold Coast Titans, which ended in a thriller, but most certainly wasn't a glowing example of how our game should be played. The Titans won 11-10, with a sneaky Matt Rogers field goal in the second stanza of Golden Point, the deadlock breaker. At the end of the day, this game deserved to be a draw and this is what makes Golden Point just so wrong.

The other game, featured the Jaryd Hayne inspired Parramatta Eels, knocking over the last chance Bulldogs in a comprehensive 32-16 victory. Hayne and the Eels burst out of the blocks tonight and had the game won by half-time, and while a desperate Bulldogs fought back, this loss means that a star studded Dogs team, won't be featuring in the finals series for 2010.
