Dragons Name Extended Bench

Dragons Coach Wayne Bennett has named a seven man interchange bench for this Sunday’s local derby against the Sharks at Toyota Stadium with seven Dragons involved in tomorrow night’s State of Origin clash.
Queensland representative Neville Costigan has been named in the back row to play his 100th NRL game this week with the Dragons looking to make it back-to-back victories over the Sharks this season following their 38-0 victory in Round 8.
“The Sharks are a much improved team from when we last played them and we are definitely expecting and preparing for a tough contest,” said Dragons interchange forward Jarrod Saffy.
Jeremy Smith (calf) and Nick Emmett (back) have been named on extended bench to return from injury. Smith has been sidelined with a knee and calf problem since Round 6 and Emmett hasn’t played since leaving the field against the Raiders in Round 11.
Unavailable Dragons are: Nathan Fien (leg) indefinite, Peni Tagive (ACL) indefinite, Dan Hunt (Achilles) 2011.
