Scott Back

Centre Beau Scott will this week return from injury in the Dragons’ highly anticipated return clash
against the Eels at WIN Jubilee Oval, Kogarah.Scott injured his knee in the Round 8 clash against the Sharks and is excited to be returning to the team and playing at the Dragons’ Sydney home.

It has been a frustrating few weeks, especially last week when I was so close to playing,” said Scott. “It is important for us to bounce back after the loss on the weekend and I’m sure that we will have a
full house at Kogarah being our first game and we are all really looking forward to getting out there
and playing”.

The NRL and NYC Clash between the Dragons and Eels won’t be the only feature matches on Friday night at WIN Jubilee Oval with local junior Clubs Corrimal Cougars (Wollongong) and Renown United (St George) featuring during half time of the NRL match as part of the St.George Bank Community Challenge.

Dragons’ major sponsor and Round 12 match day Partner St.George Bank, will be helping to lift the profile of Cougars and Renown United U10 teams by treating them to an “NRL like” build-up to their clash on Friday night during half-time of the NRL.

Players from Corrimal and Renown will this week have the opportunity to train with their NRL heroes, participate in pre-match media and have their match broadcast on the big screen at the game with live commentary at WIN Jubilee Oval on Friday night.

St.George Bank Managing Director NSW & ACT, Andrew Moore, said the U10 match represented a great opportunity to support both junior rugby league and help children in need throughout the country.

“St.George Bank, in close collaboration with the Dragons, is proud to support junior rugby league. By
providing this opportunity for the junior teams to play in the big league and raising funds for the St.George
Foundation, St.George is demonstrating its unwavering commitment to the local community,” he said.

“By giving players and coaches from Corrimal and Renown the chance to experience a night in the rugby league limelight, St.George is further demonstrating its commitment to being a big enough, small enough bank”.
Highlights from their preparation and match will be uploaded to the Dragons website www.dragons.com.au next week as part of a fundraising initiative where St.George Bank will donate
$2 to the St.George Foundation for each video stream to the maximum of $15,000.

“We hope members of not only the local community, but rugby league fans everywhere will support this
initiative by viewing the highlights online and helping to raise much needed funds for the St.George
Foundation,” he concluded.

The St.George Bank Community Challenge is a combined initiative of St.George Bank and the St
George Illawarra Dragons that involves over 500 local juniors in the U10 age group across 37 clubs
throughout the Dragons region, stretching from Kogarah in the north to Batemans Bay in the south.

Over 40 local teams in the U10 age group have the opportunity to play during half-time of Dragons
NRL home games and this week’s match for the players from Corrimal and Renown is sure to be extra
special.
