JT in the BAD Books

Jonathon Thurston, despite being robbed by some very poor officials on Saturday night, is the one with the case to answer, as his expletive-laden questioning of the match official was picked up and broadcast by the ABC. The NRL has decided that JT has a Detrimental Conduct Charge to answer to.

Once again, the NRL has chosen to shoot the messenger, without any forethought or concern as to why, such a senior player would have exploded to the extent that he did. Thurston is a role model and knows it. To see him blow up as much as he did, was testimony to the injustice the refereeing decisions had had on his team.

One can only think, that if the tirade wasn't broadcast that JT would not have been charged.
