Cowboys 32 Roosters 14

You just never know what side is going to show up and play this season. Tonight we saw a HOT Cowboys outfit, take on an uninspired Roosters team. The Roosters at home playing a Cowboys team, that hasn't won away from home in 2010. A Roosters team that has threatened to explode at various times this season, against a Cowboys team that underachieved.

The Cowboys welcomed back Aaron Payne and Matty Bowen, but were still without the great man Jonathon Thurston. The first half was a tight affair, however the Cowboys jumped away to a 12 nil lead and made the running, but at least in the first half the Chooks did some chasing.

The score at half-time was 18-10 and gave the Roosters fans a glimmer of hope for the second half. This was especially true when the Chooks were first to score to bring the scoreline to 18-14. This was the catalyst for the Cowboys to take control of the game to take away a comfy win in the end 32-14.

Michael Morgan was impressive for the Cowboys in debut, while Willie Tonga and Anthony Watts always looked dangerous. Scott Bolton and Matt Scott was the pick of the forwards while Payne and Bowen added to the team on their return. The Chooks were best served by Todd Carney who kept trying while those around him had mixed games.
