It had been a while, but obstruction is ugly again. Last night we saw a ridiculous decision to disallow a St George -Illawarra try when a well executed move was ruled to have obstructed Sam Thiaday.
The fact that Thiaday was blissfully jogging across field, then planted both feet and made a simple miss on the flying Brett Morris. It was described by both Phil Gould and Wally Lewis as a woeful decision, meaning the decision transcended state boundries.
Let us all hope that this is the last time we talk this season about poor decisions around obstructions.
