Gold Coast Titans Seal Win at Brookvale

The Gold Coast Titans are the real deal. Tonight they defeated a Manly side that led them 22-12 in the second half, and came back to win 24-22. The same Manly side the enjoyed 65% possession during the first half, and just couldn't put the Titans away.

The Titans were best served by hooker Nathan Friend, who just never gives up or goes away, but importantly tonight set up the last two tries for the Coast after they were seemingly down and out. Friend who ended up with 43 tackles recorded for him, as well as one line break assist and the two important try assists. Greg Bird is starting to look more comfy at the Titans running for over 100m, while Preston was his usual inspirational self. The Titans forwards tackled themselves to a standstill.

Manly coach Des Hasler, will be furious his side didn't seal this game. Anthony Watmough again played the house down, while Keiran Foran and Trent Hodkinson were smart at times. While their error count was exceptionally high, it was errors at critical times the killed them off tonight

On another plus side of the game itself, the crowd was a beauty for Brookvale on a Monday Night. This weekend we have seen some great crowds at the games, and once again the fans of the game rally to show the support that it needs.
