Saturday Night NRL Preview

Saturday sees another Super Saturday and mine will be starting off with following the GeeGees with a couple of mates washed down with a couple of cold Bacchus Brewing Beers.

Heading over to the ABC at 2, sees the QLD Cup Match of the Day, live from Langlands Park in Brisbane where Easts Tigers play the Central Coast Comets. Easts Tigers with Tim Smith, ex-NRL badboy leading them around, are sitting at the bottom of the ladder, while the Comets, feeding off the Broncos, are sitting in second. Don't be fooled by the positions on the ladder, (Easts game last week was called off due to a small thing called a cyclone), this game should be a good one, with our tip on the Comets.

At 4.30pm (QLDTime) our attention is turned towards the FoxSports channel where we will watch the Panthers take on the Storm. The Storm are winning UGLY at the moment, while the Panthers have a poor record against the Storm. The Panthers will need a big crowd at home to sway the scales their way.

Manly, fresh from squandering 20 point leads, take on the Newcastle Knights, who have been a bit of a surprise packet this season. Manly need to start learning how to win again, and this game beckons as the ideal foundation to do so. It won't be all one-way traffic, but Manly too good here.

Last Saturday Night game, sees the Titans taking on the Raiders at Robina. The Raiders travel poorly, but they should be lifted by their Monday Night win over the Brisbane Broncos.Titans at home will be too good, but we are salivating at the Bird v Campese Clash.
