Friday night saw the Wayne Bennett drilled Dragons continue their perfect start to the season with an emphatic 33-8 win over the North Queensland Cowboys. In the other Friday Night game, the Wests Tigers led all the way over the Parramatta Eels 23-12.
North Queensland opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with a penalty goal, and they led for the next four minutes until Brett Morris crashed over for his customary first try scorer for the Dragons. The Dragons led 17-2 at halft-time and were never headed in a display some have classed as perfection.
The Wests Tigers came out adamant to make up for their disappointment from last week. They led 9-0 at half-time, and the Eels fought back in the second half after the Tigers led 15-0 after scoring in the 45th minute. The Eels fought back to 15-12 but this wasn't to be enough as Benji magic brought the Tigers home 23-12.
